Edith M Beaudoin, age 96, a former resident of Ahmeek passed away March 12, 2016 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility, with her son and his wife by her side.
Edith was born on April 1, 1919 to John and Ellen (Erickson) Talvensaari in Painesdale.
She graduated from night school at Hancock High School with her daughter.
In 1935 she was married to William Beaudoin and he preceded her in death September 28, 1972.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, brothers Roy and John Talvensaari, grandchildren David Nurmi, Susan and Tammy Smiley, son-in-law Richard Murgatroy.
She is survived by six children: Marie (Henry) Nurmi, Judith (Jerry) Smiley, Elizabeth Murgatroy, Sandra (William) Rogina, Michael (Carrie) Beaudoin, Mary (Kurt) Wiinamaki
15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren
Brother Robert (Darlene) Talvensaari, sister-in-law Marion Talvensaari, and several nieces and nephews.
According to her wishes, Edith was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
