Lisa Rastello, age 51, passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 13, 2015.
Lisa was born on December 3, 1963 To Weldon and Maurine (Terrell) Curtin in Green Castle, Indiana.
Lisa graduated from Lake Linden – Hubbell High School with the Class of 1982.
On June 19, 1982 Lisa married the love of her life, Michael Rastello. Shortly after getting married Lisa and Michael moved to Texas for a short time.
She had the ability to make people feel good and want to be better-never putting herself first, Lisa was a natural caregiver, an inspiration to others and a truly blessed soul. To say she touched the hearts and lives of many would be an understatement. There is no doubt she lived for her family, furbabies and free time.
In that free time, Lisa loved to go for cruises with her husband, reading and looked forward to experiencing new adventures. She found solace in sunsets and season changes, often being able to capture those moments through the lense of a camera. Although her time with us was far too short, she has a much more important mission now and surely she welcomes it with open arms.
The impact Lisa made on so many lives will never be forgotten and may all of us find comfort in the fact that she shared her compassion, thoughtfulness and huge heart.

Brother: Ted Curtin of Lake Linden and nieces Avery and Elaina
Sister: Theresa (Dan) Rogan and nephew Curt, niece Katie of Calumet
Mother –in- law Emily Kay Rastello
Thank you for being such a wonderful wife, loving mother, sister and friend. You are in the sun, moon and stars until we meet again.
In respect of Lisa’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held. A celebration of life will take place in the near future.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
