JUDITH IDA SHERMAN, 75, of Bootjack, passed awaysuddenly on June 21, 2015 surrounded by family members. Judith was born in Detroit, MI on September 1, 1939 to Ida (Heikkinen) and Elmer Larno.
Judie was a proud graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit. She later attended Meramec Community College of St. Louis, MO.
Judie enjoyed meeting new people, especially on her walks down Bootjack Rd. with her canine pal, Spencer. Judie enjoyed sewing, reading, drawing, and using the Internet. She studied genealogy of her family roots back several generations to Finland.
She married Allan K. Sherman, of Chicago, IL, on January 24, 1959. During their 57 year marriage living in Detroit, East Setauket, L.I., NY, Ballwin, MO, and finally in Bootjack, they raised their family of 3 wonderful children. She was preceeded in death by her parents, brother Wayne, and aunt Mamie Heikkinen, who passed at the age of 102.
She is survived by her husband Allan, son Marc (wife Ling Sun) of Shanghai, China, daughter Jill (partner Ian Brazeau) of Sudbury, ON, Canada, and son Robert (wife Mary) of St. Charles (our gift to Missouri) along with grandchildren Daniel of St. Charles, and Kevin and Kaci of Shanghai (the best looking grandchildren in all of China).
Sunday, we lost our wife, mom, and grandma, and Spencer’s walking partner.

The funeral service will be Saturday June 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Vorhes to officiate.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of the service on Saturday.
