Lisa Jane Kinnunen, 53, a resident of Calumet passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 17, 2015.
She was born on May 14, 1962 a daughter to William Joseph Pelto Sr. and Jane J. Ruona. She attended and graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1980.
Lisa first worked as a home health care provider and then at VSI (Now Goodwill Industries) until getting her CNA. She then went to work as an aide at Houghton County Medical Care Facility. She was a compassionate person and took great pride in taking care of her patients.
She was a talented artist whether it was sketching pictures or acrylic painting. She also enjoyed doing various crafts, sewing and crocheting. She loved the time she spent with her family and her children, however her greatest pride and joy was her granddaughter Sophia Nichole.
Preceding her in death was her daughter Nichole Kinnunen, Sister Lori Anne Pelto and her life partner Dennis Foreman.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 6:30 PM in the Houghton Baptist Church with Pastor David Whitaker to officiate.
Visitation will be at the Houghton Baptist Church on Thursday from 5:30-6:30 PM.
