Vivian June Rein, 91, a resident at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell, passed away Saturday April 4, 2015.
She was born on June 15, 1923 to her parents Eino and Selda (Pelto) Hiltunen, in Mohawk. She attended and graduated from Calumet High School in 1941. And on May 9, 1942, she married her husband, the late Theodore Rein in Detroit.
During the war years, she worked for Excello Corporation, and Chrysler Corporation in Highland Park, MI. After the war she worked as a secretary, at Mott High School in Warren, MI for 10 years.
In 1988 Vivian and her husband moved back to the Copper Country, they resided in Laurium together until Theodore passed away, on November 22, 1996.
Vivian was an avid Detroit Red Wings Fan, and enjoyed Dancing, Golfing, and Crossword Puzzles.
She was an active member in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk and was involved with many church activities such as quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister Norma Siltanen.

Daughter and son in law, Lori and Mark Joki of Calumet
Granddaughter, Kimberly Joki (Meagan Harless)

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday April 9, at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Johnston to officiate. A visitation will also be held on Thursday at the Funeral Home, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.
