Ronald Morris, 74, a resident of N. Iroquois Street in Laurium passed away on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
He was born on February 4, 1940 in Olympia, Washington a son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Gronka) Morris.
He graduated in 1957 from Anacortes High School in the state of Washington.
Ron was a career military man serving in the U.S. Army for 24 years. He served during the Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis; and also in Desert Storm, retiring 100% disabled from his service in the Army. He was a life member of the VFW.
Ron was a homebody and could always was found working on his truck, tinkering in the garage or out on his John Deere lawn tractor cutting his grass.
His grandchildren gave him much joy and he loved the time spent with them.
Preceding him in death was his parents and a son Brian Lawrence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the VFW Post 3900 in Calumet with the Copper Country Veterans holding military honors.
