Marilyn Joy Aaron, 63, a resident of Calumet passed at her home on June 1, 2014.
She was born on October 29, 1950 in Hancock, daughter of the late Carl and Cecile (Whinnen) Mertz. Marilyn attended Hancock High School.
Marilyn was employed at the Pamida/Shopko stores in Houghton and Calumet, recently receiving her 30 year award.
Marilyn enjoyed playing games on her computer, crocheting and sewing. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her grandkids loved the time just as much as she did. If you knew Marilyn at all you know just how much she loved the color purple.
Preceding her in death were her parents.

She loved her Beloved Dogs: Charcoal and Snowball who will be greatly missed.

Brothers: Edward Mertz of South Range David (Lori) Mertz of Wyoming, MI
Grandchildren: Ryan Kaura, D.J. Kaura, Jessica & Chuck Schlaud, Adam & Nicole Johnson, Emily & Kirk Kunnen, Alysse & Jared McVey and Reed Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor David Weber to officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home.
